Mariners (90-72) vs. Tigers (87-75)

Game Location: T-Mobile Park

Pitchers: George Kirby vs. Troy Melton

Notes:

Since Tigers' ace Tarik Skubal pitched in game 1 of the ALWC, he cannot start for the Tigers. Right-handed rookie Troy Melton will start against the Mariners, perhaps followed by Keider Montero. For the Mariners, George Kirby will start. This will be Melton's 4th MLB start and 1st postseason start. Troy also has an incredible four-seam fastball at an average of 98 mph. Troy has never started against the Mariners. However, the only time George Kirby played against the Tigers in 2025, he had a 7.0 ERA and the Mariners won 15-7, showing the Tigers' strong bats at work against him.

Overall, I think the Mariners will win the series in 4 games as they can win a crucial game 1 with their strong bats, allow the Tigers to steal a win with Skubal in game 2, and win games 3 and 4 with Cal Raleigh's bat and Bryan Woo's injury cleared.
